Spaces

This picture was snapped standing inside the front entrance of the new Library. Our contractor and his construction foreman are inspecting the slab.

A view of the children's storytelling room! I can't wait to see this special room finished out and being used.
Here's a view from the Genealogy area - in the back of the Library. Our architect has planned a wonderful arched entryway to the space that you will see as you enter the building. It is close to the 2 study/conference rooms.

Cutting and Curing

Finishing work continues, including scoring the slab. The form should come down soon.

Here's a view of the site, from the driveway.

Here's the view of the front. Where you see boxes now, will be our entrance porch.

Here, I'm standing in the back of the building.

The Pour!

Dan and his crew began before 3 this morning. Yes, it poured overnight, but that didn't stop THE POUR. By 6:30, over 75% of the cement had been spread. By 7:30, we were waiting on the last 2 loads to come from the cement plant. These pictures were snapped between 7 and 7:30. By 10, the pour was done and the finishing work continued. It was hot, muggy, and muddy, but the foundation was looking great!
